How to Win in Business: It’s a Process

  • By Mike Phillips
  • In The Leadership Toolkit

Want to learn how to win? This week on ‘The Leadership Toolkit’ we rev up your leadership success as I interview the dynamic and growth-focused, Matt Raymond! Matt was named to Automotive News ’40 Under 40′ and received a myriad of accolades in sales and leadership excellence! Matt is a ‘process’ guy for sure and we talked a lot about how to win and the process of success. In fact consider this… winning, it’s not even a moment but it’s a process.

Matt and I got into many facets of business. We talked a lot about communication, accountability for yourself and your peers, and processes. Matt points out that a major piece of success has come from implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). EOS is introduced in the book “TRACTION” by Gino Wickman. If you want to level up your business processes, TRACTION is a must!

Without process business falls short.

True leaders comprehend that the endgame of success isn’t just about the trophy. Success is about the journey undertaken, the lessons learned along the way, and the daily testing of yourself and your team. Growth is a constant. Communication is the central point by which strong ild their foundational processes. Communication happens to be the key point that connects the dots in business between intention and execution.

Matt reminds us that it’s critical to understand that a well-defined process doesn’t guarantee immediate results. Success often teases with fleeting glimpses before revealing itself in its entirety. The fruits of our labor might not be immediately evident, but with perseverance and faith in the process, results inevitably manifest. They become a testament to the diligence, resilience, and faith in others that grow with us.

I would encourage you to tune in and watch the full episode below for more insights and growth!
